A Heartfelt Family of Three Session at Papago Park | Phoenix Family Photographer
There is something incredibly special about photographing clients as their story continues to unfold. This family photo session at Papago Park in Phoenix, Arizona was a perfect reminder of why I love what I do. I was lucky enough to photograph Jessi & Andy's wedding in October 2018 and then again in 2022 for some updated family photos with baby Josie! This family nailed it with their outfit choices too.
Jessi + Andy originally found me as wedding photography clients because I photographed Jessi's older sister's wedding too! It has been such an honor to stay connected with them beyond their wedding day. After welcoming their first baby, they reached out again, this time looking for a Phoenix family photographer to document this brand-new season of life. Moments like these never get old for me.
Papago Park is one of my favorite locations for family photography in Phoenix. With its iconic red rock formations, desert textures, and wide open views, it offers a timeless and natural backdrop that photographs beautifully in every season. For this session, the warm Arizona light paired perfectly with the intimacy of quiet and silly moments between new parents and their baby, creating images that feel both relaxed and deeply emotional.
As a photographer, one of the most meaningful parts of my job is getting to truly know the people I photograph. What often begins as a wedding inquiry grows into something much more, a genuine connection. I love when my wedding clients become my family photography clients, and even more so when they become friends. Being invited back to document milestones like welcoming a first child is something I never take lightly.
These sessions aren’t just about capturing beautiful images; they’re about telling an ongoing story. Watching couples step into parenthood, seeing how they’ve grown, and documenting the love that now looks a little different - a little fuller - is incredibly important to me. Building that trust over time allows families to feel comfortable, present, and completely themselves in front of my camera.
If you’re looking for a Phoenix family photographer who values connection, storytelling, and natural emotion - especially one who loves seeing wedding days turn into lifelong memories - I would be so honored to work with you. Sessions like this one at Papago Park are a reminder that the most meaningful photographs are often the ones that come after “I do.” 🤍
